Highly toxic pesticides caused vulture deaths in UP: Lab report

After 25 Himalayan griffon vultures died in UP's Dudhwa Tiger Reserve buffer zone on April 7, laboratory analysis confirmed the deaths were caused by feeding on stray dog carcasses contaminated with toxic pesticides. Officials said investigation is underway to identify the chemical source and monitor villages. Conservationists say the incident threatens the region's declining vulture population.
