The West Bengal Assembly on Monday passed two Bills by voice vote to scrap OBC list prepared during previous Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government for reservations in state government jobs. With the passage of the Bills, the OBC reservation structure has been revised from 17% to 7% in line with Calcutta High Court directives, along with a reorganisation of OBC categories.
