A 71-year-old NEET aspirant Ashok Bahar has approached the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court seeking a 1% reservation in MBBS admissions for eligible senior citizens. He has asked why senior citizens are excluded when various categories receive reservations. Ashok, who comes from a family with nearly 20 doctors, appeared for the NEET UG 2026 exam earlier this year.
