Ex-Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli's arrest came after a high-level commission recommended his prosecution over alleged involvement in last year's deadly anti-corruption protests. Oli was found responsible for failing to stop hours of firing that killed 19 Gen-Z protesters on the first day, which fuelled the protests. The commission recommended that Oli should be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
