Jio shares close 4.5% higher at ₹1,419 on listing day

Jio Platforms closed 4.49% higher at ₹1,419 on its listing day on Wednesday, gaining ₹61 from its opening price of ₹1,358. The stock opened at a 21.36% premium over its issue price of ₹1,119 per share. Jio's listing also made it India's second-most valuable listed company, with a market capitalisation of ₹13.05 lakh crore, behind its parent company, Reliance Industries.
