China puts travel restrictions on top AI founders & their families

China has expanded overseas travel restrictions for families of key AI professionals at private firms to prevent sensitive knowledge from reaching the US, Bloomberg reported. The rules cover startup founders and executives at strategically important AI and chip companies. Spouses and children of some executives must now get Beijing's approval before travelling abroad, even for short trips.
