Reigning Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra on Tuesday became the first Indian javelin thrower to win a gold medal at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland. The 26-year-old won the gold medal after registering a best throw of 85.97 metres. Finnish javelin thrower Toni Keränen won the silver medal with a best throw of 84.19 metres.
