Retired-IPS officer Yashovardhan Azad, along with two protestors who allegedly sustained injuries during the July 20 protest, has moved the Supreme Court seeking a ban on pellet guns. The petition seeks the decommissioning of wholly or partially metallic projectiles or pellets. An internal inquiry reportedly found that RAF personnel had fired rounds from a pellet gun during the protest.
