Tata Sons has deferred a decision on the extension of Chairman N Chandrasekaran's tenure, CNBC-TV18 reported on Tuesday. Any extension of Chandrasekaran's tenure would require a relaxation from the company's retirement policy, which directs executives to retire at the age of 65. Chandrasekaran's third term, if approved, will conclude in 2032.
