Pakistan expressed "grave concern" after India accelerated hydropower construction on the Chenab river earlier this month, News18 reported. "Pakistan will not compromise on its water rights," the country’s Foreign Office spokesperson said. The project comes less than a year after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty, saying Pakistan wouldn't get "a single drop of water that belongs to India".
