The father of brothers Sagar and Saheb Sonkar, who were arrested in the alleged contract killing of West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari's personal assistant Chandranath Rath, claimed his sons were being "scapegoats". He also rejected CBI's allegation that Sagar was in touch with a rival political party, reportedly TMC. The brothers, TMC workers who later joined BJP, worked for Chandranath.
