According to IMD, the hottest place in India on Thursday was Chandrapur, where the temperature was 44.6°C, and it was followed by Barmer (44.1°C) and Jaisalmer (44.0°C). Two places in Telangana were also among the hottest. Notably, parts of India like Odisha, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, got relief from the intense heatwave due to rainfall and thunderstorms.
