The Israeli military said that there was a "high probability" that three hostages found dead last year were mistakenly killed in an Israeli airstrike. Their bodies were recovered on December 14 but they were likely killed in a November airstrike that also killed a senior Hamas commander, Ahmed Ghandour, the military added. The hostages were abducted by Hamas.
