Justice Yashwant Varma of Allahabad HC submitted his resignation to President Droupadi Murmu a year after piles of burnt cash were found at his Delhi residence. Under the Judges (Inquiry) Act, 1968, inquiries are conducted to investigate misbehaviour or incapacity of SC and HC judges. His resignation is set to bring to a close the inquiry initiated under the act.
