The first Japanese LNG tanker crossed the Strait of Hormuz since its closure amid the US-Iran war. The ship's parent company refused to disclose if any negotiations were needed for safe passage through the strait. Iran had earlier prepared a proposal for toll payments to allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz amid the war.
