Wholesale inflation rose to a 38-month high of 3.88% in March, up from 2.13% in the previous month. It is driven by a surge in crude and energy prices and firmer manufactured products, government data released on April 15 showed. Further, India's year-on-year inflation rate, based on CPI, rose to 3.40% in March.
