A rift between billionaire Venu Srinivasan and his daughter, Lakshmi Venu, surfaced after Lakshmi led the board decision to oust Company Secretary PD Dev Kishan over governance concerns linked to his part-time role at Sundaram Clayton. Venu, TVS group's patriarch, reversed Lakshmi's decisions in just 72 hours. Venu was also appointed Chairman and MD at the same board meeting.
