Potato farmers struggle due to bumper production, curbs on inter-state sale in West Bengal

Several potato farmers in West Bengal are being forced to sell produce at a loss of ₹3.50 per kg, The Telegraph reported, adding that bumper production and curbs by TMC government on inter-state sales are responsible for it. The farmers complained they didn't receive help from the government. On Sunday, the TMC government increased MSP to ₹950 per quintal.
