Meta-owned WhatsApp has introduced parent-managed accounts allowing parents and guardians to set up WhatsApp for children under the age of 13. The feature lets parents control who can contact the account, which groups the child can join, and review message requests from unknown users. Privacy settings can only be accessed or changed by parents using a secure parent PIN.
