EU Parliament replaces Google with French search engine

The European Parliament will replace Google with French search engine Qwant as the default search engine from June 4. The move comes as part of Parliament's commitment to protection of users' personal data and Europe's "Buy and Use European" drive, reducing reliance on US technology. Users will still be able to select alternative search engines.
