UAE's move to quit OPEC and OPEC+ is a "policy-driven evolution aligned with long-term market fundamentals", as per Energy Minister and state-news agency WAM. It shows UAE's shift towards expanding its energy production capacity and flexibility to respond to market. Noting Strait of Hormuz disruption, WAM stated, "A stable global energy system depends on flexible, reliable and affordable supply".
