Cutting off head of snake: US leader as Indian firms hit by green card crackdown

US Secretary of Labour Keith E Sonderling said, "We are cutting off the head of the snake" while announcing the green card crackdown launched by the Donald Trump administration against major IT firms. The Indian companies hit by this are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and HCLTech. The Permanent Labour Certification Programme allows employers to sponsor foreign workers for permanent residency.
