DRDO tests indigenous high-altitude parachute in Ladakh
DRDO successfully conducted the maiden live jump of its indigenously developed Advanced High-Altitude Parachute (AHAP) at Nyoma, Ladakh. The jump was executed from 16,000 feet AMSL, with landing at 13,700 feet. Designed by ADRDE Agra and manufactured by OPF Kanpur, the system supports paratrooper mass drops up to 18,000 feet altitude.
