India's rare Malvi camel breed is facing a serious extinction threat, with only 102 animals remaining, prompting conservation efforts by the National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC). Malvi is considered one of India's smallest camel breeds, and can produce 4-5 kg of milk per cycle. Notably, the NRCC has launched a special breeding and conservation programme to protect the breed.
