India-EU FTA may enter force by early 2027: EAM Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said the India-EU Free Trade Agreement, concluded after 25 years of negotiation, could enter into force by end-2026 or early 2027. Speaking at Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Delhi, he called 2026 India's 'Europe Year' and said the deal opens a mature, high-purchasing-power market for India.
