US' Tandem Diabetes Care, maker of insulin pump app t:connect, has recalled the iOS app after its software glitch injured 224 diabetic people. The glitch crashed and automatically relaunched the app repeatedly, resulting in the insulin pump's battery drain due to excessive Bluetooth communication. The battery drain caused under-delivery of insulin, which may result in life-threatening conditions.
