NASA's Curiosity finds evidence of ancient sandstorm in Mars

NASA's Curiosity rover has found evidence of ancient sandstorms preserved in rocks inside Mars' Gale Crater. The discovery suggests the Red Planet had a much thicker atmosphere and stronger winds around 3.5 billion years ago. The findings also support earlier evidence that Gale Crater once contained rivers and lakes, indicating Mars was once warmer and wetter.
