Due process to be followed if fresh CEC impeachment motion filed: LS Speaker

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said any fresh impeachment motion against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will be examined as per laid-down procedures. He made the statement amid Opposition protests demanding Kumar's removal over alleged irregularities in the special intensive revision of electoral rolls. The CEC can be removed through a process similar to Supreme Court judge impeachment.
