India can be multi-hub global aviation leader: Air India CEO

Air India CEO Tewolde Gebremariam said India can develop multiple international aviation hubs — Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad — to rival Gulf carriers. Speaking at Delhi Aviation India 2026, he stressed cutting costs, expanding wide-body orders, and growing connecting traffic from 10% to 50%, while noting Tata Group remains committed to long-term growth.
