Sensex gains 800 points, Nifty crosses 23,650 mark

Benchmark indices opened in green for the second consecutive session on Tuesday. Sensex jumped over 800.9 points to 76,493.68, while Nifty 50 gained over 218 points and crossed the 23,650 mark in early trade. About 2,510 shares advanced, 907 shares declined, and 172 shares were unchanged. Except for Pharma, most sectoral indices were trading higher, with IndiGo gaining over 3%.
