TMC MP Saket Gokhale alleged that Narendra Modi-led government increased the cost of manufacturing Vande Bharat sleeper trains by 50% even though the number of trains has reduced from 200 to 133. Railways Ministry refuted the claims and asked Rajya Sabha MP to "stop spreading fake news." The number of coaches per train increased from 16 to 24, government said.
