'Upto ₹5,000 fine, jail for using phone on speaker, talking loudly,' Southern Railway warns

Southern Railway has warned passengers against creating nuisance by playing music/audio on speaker mode, talking loudly on calls or using objectionable ringtones on trains and railway premises. Offenders could face a ₹1,000 fine, removal from the train/premises and forfeiture of their ticket. Repeat offenders could face a fine of ₹5,000, up to six months of simple imprisonment, or both.
