An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude struck near the city of Gerash in Iran on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake occurred at a depth of around 10 km. The tremor comes amid intense conflict in the region, triggered by the US and Israeli strikes on Iran, leading to the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
