Government is working on a plan to create an Approved List of Battery Manufacturers (ALBM), Live Mint reported. The list will have exclusive equipment vendors for government-backed energy storage projects. The move aims to boost domestic battery production and reduce reliance on Chinese imports. India is planning a $38-billion investment to roll out 47 gigawatts (GW) of battery storage capacity.
