Govt to ease rules for semiconductor & auto makers in 2 months: Goyal

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said India will amend regulations and introduce new rules within two months to address concerns from semiconductor and auto component manufacturers. Two major companies have raised issues related to manufacturing semiconductor equipment and automotive components. The government is simplifying BIS regulations and easing approval procedures, he said.
