Booked Western toilet, got Indian toilet in railway room; man wins ₹20,000

A 72-year-old passenger booked a railway retiring room for ₹333 in 2024 but found an Indian-style toilet instead of the advertised Western toilet. After returning the keys unused, he sought refund and spent two years pursuing the matter, initially receiving ₹3,000 compensation. The Chandigarh State Consumer Commission has now raised the compensation to ₹20,000, calling earlier amount inadequate.
