Anthropic has launched a new AI model, Claude Opus 4.8, that's more "honest" and is available at the same price as its predecessor. Opus 4.8 "reaches new highs" in terms of acting in the user's best interest and supporting their autonomy. It outperformed all its competitors in agentic coding, multidisciplinary reasoning, agentic computer use, knowledge work and agentic financial analysis.
