AI system proves 18-yr-old Aaronson-Ambainis conjecture in 72 hrs

US-based firm Physical Superintelligence (PSI) claimed its AI research system proved the 18-year-old Aaronson-Ambainis conjecture in three days. The conjecture examines when quantum computers can achieve an exponential speed advantage over classical computers. The system used Anthropic's non-public model and produced a proof that was accepted by Lean, a software that verifies mathematical proofs.
