Karnataka's drought-hit taluks may rise from 177 to 200: Deputy CM

Karnataka Deputy CM G Parameshwara said 177 taluks are declared drought-affected, and may likely rise to 200. Rainfall deficit is the worst in 150 years at 46% below normal, he added. Crop loss stands at 82% and the state has sought ₹3,500 crore aid from the central government, along with a proposal for an all-party delegation to meet the PM.
