Hungary's Prez steps down after signing amendment ending his own term

Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok, loyalist of former PM Viktor Orbán, has agreed to step down after signing a constitutional amendment which ends his term immediately, citing society’s "serious loss of confidence". The law change is part of PM Peter Magyar's efforts to dismantle Orbán's political system after he ended his 16-year-long rule in April, coming to power with landslide victory.
