West Nile fever is spread by the Culex species of mosquitoes. West Nile virus can cause a fatal neurological disease in humans. The main symptoms are headache, fever, muscle aches, dizziness and loss of memory, but most patients do not experience any symptoms. Some Kerala districts have reported these cases and all districts have been asked to remain vigilant.
