US Commerce Department announced preliminary countervailing duties of 125.87% on solar cells and panels that are imported from companies in India. This comes after the President Donald Trump-led administration concluded that India, Indonesia and Laos received government subsidies that make US products uncompetitive. The duties for Indonesia and Laos were set at 104.38% and 80.67%, respectively.
