Australia may ban smart glasses in government offices

Australia is considering banning camera-equipped smart glasses in government workplaces over privacy and security concerns. The government will consult major employers, including Microsoft and Telstra, on workplace AI guidelines. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said protections must keep pace with technology, as concerns grow that smart glasses could secretly record or photograph people.
