Panvel civic body faces scrutiny over ₹40 cr drain cover contracts

Opposition leader Arvind Mhatre has raised concerns over Panvel Municipal Corporation's revised contracts worth over ₹40 crore for installing inspection-chamber covers. He alleges the civic body approved higher estimates but failed to disclose locations or quantities of covers installed. Mhatre has written to the Municipal Commissioner demanding a transparent account of expenditure.
