55-yr-old teacher walks 5 km daily to teach one student in Maha
55-year-old Jivan Mithari, a teacher at a Zilla Parishad school in Maharashtra's Kawaltek Dhangarwada, walks 5 km through dense forest every day to teach a single student. For 13 years, he has faced rain and wild animals despite the lack of a motorable road. The hamlet also has no electricity, while vehicles cannot reach the school.
