NZ man who doesn't speak Spanish wins Spanish World Scrabble title in 1st try

A New Zealand man named Nigel Richards, who was playing his first-ever competitive Scrabble game in Spanish, a language he doesn't speak, won the board game’s Spanish-language world title last month. Nigel Richards is a professional Scrabble player who holds five English-language world titles. Richards started memorising the Spanish language's Scrabble word list a year ago, his friend said.
