19-year-old Danish Princess Isabella has joined the Danish Armed Forces for a period of 11 months. Isabella, the eldest daughter of King Frederik X and Queen Mary, joined the military just weeks after graduating from high school. She is the first female royal to take part in military service, as, traditionally, only men were conscripted into the armed forces.
