The Supreme Court quashed criminal proceedings against director-writer Sujoy Ghosh in a copyright infringement case related to his 2016 film 'Kahaani 2'. The complainant, Umesh Prasad Mehta, alleged that the script of his film 'Sabak' was stolen after he sent it to Ghosh in 2015. However, Ghosh claimed that he wrote his script in 2012 and registered it by 2013.
