The tiny Kharg Island, located 25 km off Iran's coast, has remained untouched by US-Israel strikes amid the Middle East war despite being Iran's principal oil export terminal. Experts say the island is a red line for US-Israel strikes as hitting it could provoke Iran to target Gulf oil facilities, marking a significant escalation. It'd also weaken future Iranian governments.
