Delhi High Court said that orders passed by foreign courts cannot be "sole determining factor" in deciding child custody cases, especially when child has developed "deep roots" in India. The case pertains to couple who got married in 2011. Their daughter was born in 2015 in US. They got divorced in 2022 and US court had issued joint parenting order.
